Johnson 65790 Motor DC PM Permanent Magnet Bronze Bearing Belt Gear Precision

This is a well made, shielded, PM Permanent Magnet, high torque low Voltage DC motor that used in the HP OfficeJet 600 and other printers. The 3.25 millimeter diameter shaft has an attached gear to drive cogged belts. Shaft is 12 mm long on the opposite end and also usable. Makes a good generator. Useful as a replacement motor or for a special project. Motor starts to rotate at 1.5 Volt. No load current is about 0.05 Amperes. Additional numbers on motor: C3801-60005. This motor drives many loads smoothly and with a small PM or stepping motor and a rubber band as a belt it would make a classy but simple precision, low distortion sine-wave generator, a nice generator with a small windmill or some other great science project.
