This dial indicator base is useful instrument for metrology labs, tool rooms, machine shops or for the really serious hobby shops. It is of heavy duty construction. The generously ribbed fine cast iron base weighs about twenty five pounds. It provides a strong stable working base. Only a granite table is more precise (and a lot more costly) for gage block and dial indicator set-ups and measurements.
