OddMix.com Statistics Traffic Information Site Log Historical Data Interesting Trivia
The OddMix website started its operation in May 2004. From that time, there was hardly a week without a new record of some sort. The number of visitors increased from the initial one-two a day to several hundreds! Web traffic volume increased from one MB (Mega Byte) a month to over a hundred MB! This table contains some numbers of the latest available OddMix logbook web statistics. These numbers are end of month values. The years 2008 and 2007 was also a happy growth time.
Many websites sprung up allegedly to report on other site's traffic. A fine example of how bad their report is, and how far they are off the mark with their supposedly reliable statistics may be Quantcast.com. Even when posted and true website statistics are available online, the traffic site's fudged and under estimated traffic reports are not even in the ballpark. The way the QuantCast (and many other) site works is that they report a grossly off number, than hoping that the irked site owner would reports the real value. To be even more obnoxious, they require owners to became "members" and to log into their place for the correction.
Admittedly, estimating site traffic is a difficult exercise, especially because most any (sane) person does not allow having tracking cookies on his or her computer. Almost any reputable internet security software rutinely stops such spying and the estimation gets less and less accurate. The only true numbers for any website can only be obtained from the site server's pages. OddMix.com's 2008 and 2007 data is also available in graph form.
