Banknote Currency Hungarian Government Hyperinflationary Note 1 Million Million Pengo
This Hungarian 1 Million Million Pengö Note printed in May 1946 was still not the largest note printed. It was a forerunner of future even larger denominations. At this time Hungary's inflation was close to an unheard of 9,000,000% (nine million percent) - a MONTH! It is well to pause and to reflect on how quickly and easily governments with their reckless spending are able to ruin their country and citizenry.
