The triode half of the first tube provided further audio amplification. Designed to be used with a good long antenna, and ground it was a very dependale set. The radio is housed in a basic bakelit enclosure with a small illuminated glass scale with the European city names marked for each strong station. This exact set was also sold as the Philips 22V, Telefunken 140V, 141V, and Standard 2011.
